Let's say that they saw that Netanyahu ignored their warnings and they know that war is coming.
If I were the IDF chief of staff, I would have insisted or I would have called more units to come to the northern border.
So even today, in 2026, I still believe that this warning was highly politicized.
And proof number one.
Exhibit A is the fact that they ignored their very own warning, both in the south and in the north.
And that's why I refuse to accept the idea that they really meant it.
I think that Netanyahu bears full responsibility as Prime Minister, but it's a different question.
