Israel says its troops came under fire in two incidents over the weekend inside what it calls a security zone, where its forces are holding Syrian territory.
The military says soldiers returned fire.
In one incident, an Israeli military helicopter struck the area to support the troops, and in another, it killed several armed militants.
Syria's state news agency says there were no casualties from the attacks.
Syria's foreign ministry, however, condemned Israel's incursions and shelling, saying they violate Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Israel, which took control of areas in southern Syria in late 2024, says its aim is to prevent threats near its border.

The Israel-based rights group says the doctors include surgeons and senior specialists who were taken from Gaza after the deadly Hamas-led attack on Israel.
Some were detained in Israeli raids while working inside hospitals that were badly damaged or destroyed.
The doctors are being held in Israel as unlawful combatants, a designation that carries no formal charges or trial.
Israel is holding an unknown number of detainees from Gaza on suspicion of ties to Hamas.
But Physicians for Human Rights says the detention of the 14 doctors is unlawful and is worsening the collapse of Gaza's health care system.
Two detained doctors from Gaza died in Israeli custody in the war.

Speaking with reporters at the site of an Iranian missile strike in northern Israel, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar would not comment on the reports.
But a person familiar with the matter, not authorized to speak publicly, tells NPR that Ron Dermer, a confidant of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been appointed to lead potential negotiations with Lebanon.
This comes after a weekend of heavy rocket fire from Hezbollah tower in northern Israel.
Israel has responded with large-scale airstrikes across Lebanon, and officials say they are not ruling out an Israeli ground campaign in Lebanon.
Lebanese authorities say the fighting has displaced around 800,000 people.
