As people gain social power,
they're less dependent on others.
And so when you have not much social power, when you're at the bottom of the hierarchy, you really need to be able to read other people's minds.

And as you gain more power, you're less dependent.
And so you're more likely to stereotype people.
You're less likely to be able to take their perspective.
You just kind of forget what it feels like to be where they are.
And so I think that's a problem.
