But no, I just quit.

I literally just quit drinking because it triggered me.

I didn't know it until 30 years later, I finally admitted that that happened to me.

I didn't tell anybody.

I didn't tell anybody about it.

I highly recommend EMDR therapy.

It is a specific therapy that's a rapid eye movement.

And it gets you to the point where you can talk about these things without being completely like, like, I don't go there anymore.

I'm at peace with all of that.

yeah so i had quit drinking already and so as i was very starting to get clear-headed around me i was starting to think about health and i was a single mom i had my daughter at 19. i started to think about health i was starting to think about her and how it affected her my smoking affecting my child and then they changed the price i think it went up to 2.75 at that time i think they're around 10 a pack right now

I was like, $2.75, that's per day.

I'm doing the math.

And I'm like, that's a car payment.

Just out of rebellion, I decided I'm going to quit.

I think it was a combination of things.

I chose a date.

I chose my daughter's birthday to quit because it was really for her.

And a month prior to her birthday, and I have quite the sense of humor, but I would literally light a cigarette up and say out loud with people in the room, I'm like, I'm a non-smoker.

And I would say, I'm a non-smoker.

And it would still feel good to me to this day to have a cigarette in my hand, but I would hate to actually smoke it.
