Sam Montembeau gave up three more goals in that third period, and Laval lost to the Cleveland Monsters 5-2.

The thing is, I had said this to you on Tuesday when they sent Montembeau

down to Laval.

And I looked at the schedule.

I'm like, okay, where are they?

Oh, they're playing in Cleveland two games this week.

Okay.

Uh, that shouldn't be too tall of an order.

Um, and I said, what happens if he loses one or both games against Cleveland?

Like what happens?

I don't didn't think it was going to happen, but what if, well, and then he turns around and he loses the first game.

They are, they're just starting game two now, which we'll keep an eye on, but that starts to make things sticky.

um not much of a roster on the other side of of the ledger either so um and not a good look not a good look not a good look we'll see what happens in the rematch uh here's saturday matinee game uh laval has played 27 games this season they are 17 9 0 and 1 that's uh that 35 points has them second in the north division sixth overall in the ahl so um

Prior to that loss, I believe there was last Saturday when we did the prospect report, they were sitting at fourth overall in the AHL.

And first in the North.

A team with that kind of record at that kind of standing should be able to beat the Cleveland Monsters.

We understand roster turnover in the AHL.

massively changes every day.

And so things can be really fluid game to game, but we'll see if they recover with their second matchup against Cleveland.

That will be the last game that they play until after Christmas, until next weekend.
