The crease, right out of the gate this year, all of a sudden, very, very, very brightly became a bad spotlight for the Canadians.

Sam Montembeau was basically the crux of all of that.

And then, you know, while the Canadians tried to figure out for the first couple of months what

Could he find what was wrong?

Could he could he right the ship in time?

Let's give Dobish some time.

But, oh, too much pressure and not playing people consistently.

You know, we saw Dobish's confidence get a little shaken.

And when in a young goaltender, that's not ever the right prescription for them.

So finally, everything came to a head this week when Sam Montembeau was sent to LaValle, as we spoke about in the first segment, which was the correct move.

That also was on the heels of Jacob Fowler being recalled, which we we talked about this last week.

You know, what is this was now a new a new problem.

OK, you've got three goaltenders up and up in the NHL now.

What are you going to do, Kent Hughes?

What are you going to do, Marty?

Who is the one who's going to budge?

And, you know, without wrecking Fowler's development, without wrecking Dobish's development.

And so they answered that question, did the right thing, sent Montembeau down to Laval for a conditioning stint.
