The only time Jacob, sorry, mixing the Jacobs and the Jacobs.
Jacob Dobish had a to be expected stumble for a young goaltender early in the season.
He was he was in a big pressure situation.
It didn't go the way that he wanted it to go.
This was like the sixth or seventh game of the season because he's young.
He got very emotional about it.
We talked at the time about how it was a mistake for the Canadians to put him in front of the media after that game because of how personally he took that loss, how disappointed in himself he was.
And the fallout from that put him off kilter and shook his confidence.
That's right.
And so because, you know, there was then the media pressure, the fan pressure, he wasn't feeling as confident.
He struggled a little bit in his next couple of starts when he could get a start because that's when Marty started favoring Montembeau even more and was tossing Montembeau.
Even though Montembeau was not playing well, he wasn't giving Dobesh an opportunity to put that game behind him.
That is the only time this season that Dobesh has struggled.
But for some reason, it's been ingrained in fans' heads that Dobesh has been inconsistent and unreliable this season.
For the entire season.
When that's not the case.
It was for a very specific reason and it was for a very specific period of time early in the season.
And once he was given the ability to get his confidence back...
Particularly once Montembeau got sent down to Laval, Jakob Dobish has been reliable.
Yeah.
