And that is very possibly the case.

This is what is happening to our culture.

This woman who creates profound, impactful books is doubting her impact on the world.

We are constantly sidelining our creativity to being something that is not productive.

There are bigger things happening in the world.

How could I be playing the piano?

I work with thousands of creatives, thousands of artists, and I'm getting dozens of DMs each week that say, I don't know how I can be spending my time at my piano when there is so much pain in the world.

What I need all of us to realize today is that we need to be at the piano making our art more than ever as we navigate these incredibly difficult things.

Art is not just for kids.

Art is not just for adults.

Art is not just for peace time.

Art is now.

We need it now.

So I'm going to just go on a big rant where I tell you why every single one of you needs to be making art.

We are a culture that is obsessed with optimization and productivity.
