So sometimes we don't want to read something at night, like say gives a sore in my eyes, but maybe listening to some podcasts or some audio books can be a very helpful alternative.
Another thing here is that people use, let's say digital tools more and more.
As many people use that to read something, have that immersive feeling, but also people just keep doing what they're doing on TikTok, like swiping up the screen.
That's also an immersive experience, I have to say.
It's even addictive, but I'm not sure how much that will tackle or scratch the itch in the same area on loneliness.
Maybe.
Maybe, maybe.
But I think I'm talking about, let's say we need more evidence about those different types of engagement with some flexibility.
It's more also about, let's say, schedule control, right?
You're not relying on other people's schedule.
You have something, let's say,
you like to you love to do and makes you feel good so uh and it's on a healthier end so but some research like say previous say uh watch tv just by yourself not with a partner that's a different story but just watch tv by yourself it actually makes people feel even lonelier yeah so yeah so i think it's also about let's say
the level of immersion related to it.
And thus, sometimes I think another potential benefit of reading a book, something like this, is more about, let's say, having something ready to share with other people.
Let's say, give you some background or some interesting insights or, let's say, make you an interesting person.
So, to talk with other people.
Thank you, David, for inviting me.
Yeah, thanks for having me.
Yeah, exactly.
So these are how we kind of think about emotional connection and intimacy and relationships.
