You know, I have a lot of conflicted feelings about the Pledge of Allegiance. podcast-host

I belong to like a group called the LA Breakfast Club that used to do the Pledge of Allegiance all the time on Wednesday mornings. podcast-host

And when they did, we'd always have to preface it with like, and let's pledge allegiance to the ideals on which this country we hope will someday live up to, you know? podcast-host

But then like I heard that why part of that scene existed is because even like Spielberg himself heard that his grandfather, when he was a kid, wasn't allowed to enroll in school because he was like busy or working or being kept working or something like that. podcast-host

And there's just, I don't know, there's so much to read in to this movie. podcast-host

i mean i feel like we see that story almost too much you know it's like nemo it's bambi it's podcast-host

And when I was a kid, what really stuck out to me was that Warren T. Ratt was actually a cat. podcast-host

And you know that this character, I don't find him generic at all. podcast-host

I find him, well, I would say he is a truism of human behavior. podcast-host

He's a type of person who I think shows up in history over and over and over and over again. podcast-host
