And it can be very healing.
There can often be tears when we're decluttering with someone after a divorce.
Because it is like that final frontier of separation and separating your lives completely or mostly if you're co-parenting or doing different things together.
It can be about saying, no, this is my space now, whether it's the existing home, a new home, like you're creating your own home, own feelings so you feel like you own it, which is really important.

So it was just like an open fire where we put some wood in and she just started burning papers.
And it was so fun.
She found it very, very therapeutic.
I wish I'd kind of bought something that I could throw in the fire as well because she looked like she was loving it.
And it was just so therapeutic for her.
When we came across paperwork, she didn't need any more court documents.
She didn't need any more to have in physical hard copy.
She could throw them on the fire.
And for her, it was the perfect way to do it.
For someone else, they might be like, oh, my goodness, that feels so big.
That feels disrespectful.
That feels so final.
But for her, it was perfect.
And that is part of it, figuring out for you what life after divorce looks like when it comes to your possessions.
