And it's well organized.
But an aesthetic organizer might go, actually, I've got a photo frame there and I've got an ornament that's really special.
I've got some matching containers that look nice.
So they're both still using the space and it's working for them, but it might look really different about what's in it.
Today, while I've been thinking about recording this episode, I've been looking around my house and thinking, oh, what spaces do I organize aesthetically and what spaces are really functional?
And as I've said, I err on the function side.
And it also means I've looked around this morning and gone,
Oh, actually, I wouldn't mind making that spot there a little bit more aesthetic.
And sometimes that just develops with time and budget.
Certainly when we first started having kids and when we first moved into this house, there wasn't budget to make things aesthetically lovely.
We didn't have the budget to buy lovely containers.
We would just buy the containers we could afford.
And so sometimes that aesthetic look can evolve as you evolve yourself.
So there's trade-offs, no matter which one that you use.
So neither system or way of organizing is wrong in itself or particularly right in itself.
You can think a functional system might look messier.
It might use mismatched containers.
But if it's going to work, it's going to work really well and it's quick to implement.
It's easy to move and adjust and be flexible in how you use the space because you're not limited to the exact container that you need to have.
An aesthetic system might take a little bit longer to set up.
