Something your coach said this offseason, something your quarterback said this offseason suggests to me things may be exciting for Bears fans.

Well, look, to be headed in the right direction last season, we'll see where it goes next.

um after or this season and thereafter is is a better way to state that you know look every single team is one horrific injury away from a different season than they envisioned and we of course hope that's not the case for any athlete i will tell you in all my years in the league no one i knew ever ever ever rooted for an injury to an athlete even if that athlete was a competitor so

I'm not suggesting that those are things that people look forward to when they're competing.

To the contrary, keep your team healthy.

Protect your quarterback.

I heard you talking on the show earlier about the possibility of snatching Max Crosby.

And, you know, I will say this.

I worked for a team owner who said to me throughout my years with the team,

The quarterback must go down and he must go down hard.

So look, most games are won or lost at the line of scrimmage.

Protect your quarterback and go get the other team's quarterback and you've got a likelihood of success.

You know, I don't know the answer to that, obviously.
