You know, before things get tense, I think again, just bringing that kindness to the forefront and developing trust. podcast-host

And developing trust with another person can take so many different podcast-host

Um, I was mentoring someone once and I was trying to explain this to them, and she said to me, podcast-host

I don't want to be friends with them. podcast-host

And I was like, oh, that's a good comment. podcast-host

I don't I don't know how to explain how this is different than friendship. podcast-host

And now I've done a little bit more reading and self-education. podcast-host

And I know that that is not you don't have to be friends, but you have to develop you have to put in emotional and energy. podcast-host

to cultivate trust. podcast-host

And when you have that trust, you can approach some of these difficult conversations with a little bit more sensitivity and maybe not get your head bitten off. podcast-host

It's that concept of like, you know, you're laying on your horn and throwing your middle fingers at the stranger on the highway. podcast-host

But if you looked and you saw it was your mom, you'd be like, oh sorry, mom, you okay? podcast-host

You know what I mean? podcast-host
