I guess I'm wondering where you found this, first of all, actually.
That is like the most authentic form of music discovery on TikTok I've ever heard of.
Like the whole thing about discovering music on TikTok is that like people game the algorithm and that's how you find it.
And this was just like an authentic like, oh, my God, I found this thing I love.
The other thing I was going to say, Fee, is the reason I asked.
Because recently I was talking to some friends who decided to make an album and kind of like a, I told you about this, and more of like a jammy, communal, everyone contributes style classic for how albums were produced in the past, much less classic now.
And I immediately thought of the way that Jorge Drexler had described to us his way of producing his very candombe-based music.
And the fact that he went to these rumbas, these circles in Uruguay in these very jam style experiences and that's how he ended up creating the album and the way that you find a really natural meeting point between jazz and folk, folkloric, especially styles like candombe.
is in the actual production of the thing, right?
Like they're both produced in a tit-for-tat dance kind of give-and-take community experience.
And so this style is like actually made perfectly for each other.
