As of July 4th, the Kennedy Center will be closed for two years of renovations.
The board also approved a new head, Matt Floka.
He's currently the center's vice president of operations and has no experience in arts administration.
Essentially, he's been tasked with running a construction site.
Floka is replacing Richard Grinnell, who is departing the Kennedy Center.

The video was posted after Saturday's widespread No Kings protests.
In a statement to NPR, Loggins wrote, quote, Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.
He also lamented the country's current deep divisions.
NPR reached out to the White House for comment.
In reply, the White House sent NPR an image from Top Gun of stars Tom Cruise and the late Val Kilmer, captioned, I feel the need for speed.
