I think that's really the most debilitating part of being differently wired is that through the resistance you get from the outside world, you build in these very destructive automated parts of your personality that are just not helping you progress.
Hi Debbie.
Yeah, that does sound about right.
Likewise.
Mm, sure.
So I work as a coach, coaching clients with ADHD now.
Like a lot of my clients, I have a mixed background.
I started out when I was a kid, I was definitely differently wired, but also gifted.
So, you know, I kind of snuck under the radar and and managed well throughout school and stuff.
My mom is a sp was a special ed teacher, so she uh helped me manage everything like I was supposed to.
Then in my early twenties I did a PhD in applied physics.
Then I did because I realized that wasn't really it.
So I did a masters level design degree afterwards.
And what kind of holds all this together is that I really like to figure things out, like how they work and and what's going on.
And I love the process of problem solving.
So when I started I did a couple of ma um coaching programs and just knew that that was the most intense experience that I'd ever had uh work wise and had to to do more of that.
So in two thousand and seven I started working as a coach full time.
And one of my very first clients was uh an adult uh who called in and said, I have ADHD and forty years old.
Is there anything you can do about it?
And I actually when we talked, I thought I knew what it was about.
