And I remember thinking at the time when I was told that, thinking that's a brilliant description to use for young children to help them understand treatment and why mammy or daddy requires treatment or being in hospital for a long period of time.

doctors should use that more for young kids because I was 34 or 33 at the time and like it really helped me to better understand like okay that well that makes sense like you know so there that's all my anecdotes done now I love your analogies yeah but it does help like and even as you were chatting there I was thinking you know when

I keep referring back to my own sister but like her husband died in an accident and you couldn't have met a healthier person and I remember her saying to me I have cancer like you know and he's so healthy and he battled to be healthy and then he died in an accident she's like what is like do you know what I mean like as in prior to your sister yeah yeah he died as well yeah there's a year between the two of them oh my god yeah yeah

So his mum had died the day before and he was putting up a light for her funeral and the light essentially catapulted him.

And this was all within a year of her.

So she had had the brain tumour and cancer.

Oh, my God.

Hers was a grade four.

So she was told, like, your life is five years is all you can hope for at best.

And then he was the healthiest, strongest, fittest man.

And his mum had died.

And the next day he was cut.

So he was taken to Beaumont.

But I remember her saying that to me.

She was saying, you know, look at Pa.

He's so healthy all his life, doing chin-ups, running up and down Crowpatrick, like the fittest man.
