So that's why I really like what you're doing.

So you have your own story with the loss.

So you lost your dad, Gerry.

But as I always do on this podcast, which is so important, because sometimes we just talk about what happened.

But there's a person behind that.

So will you tell me about growing up?

What was your dad like?

What was dad like?

Um...

Well, I'd say, oh God, right, he was a huge figure in my life.

Like, we would have been extremely close.

I was the eldest child.

There's only myself and my younger sister, so.

Oh, is that all?

Very small family, yeah.

And we both would be extremely, extremely close with him, would have had great relationships with him.

So he was a vet, so I would have spent an awful lot of my childhood, my kind of very young childhood,

going out and about these are kind of my earliest memories like kind of going out and about and doing calls with him so he was always working okay um he had a small he had a practice in in south dunny gall uh like a large animal big practice and obviously in a rural area so he would have worked an awful lot like he would have been a an exceptionally hard worker like i would have always even known that as a child that he was probably a workaholic because he was kind of

You know, not going to say never home, but he was always working.

From early morning he was gone to late at night he was working, working, working.
