It's such an indefensible policy.

You know, if you go back to whenever it was the sixties, I I forget the not exact number, it was something like a quarter million uh dairy farmers.
There's now I think five thousand, seven thousand, most of them in Quebec.

I i i it i it's just incomprehensible why it's even such a political
uh lightning rod, uh uh or third rail or whatever metaphor you want to use.
Uh it's it's so it not only is it bad policy, not only does it drive up the cost of essential foodstuffs, not just milk, but dairy products generally, uh also chicken, uh um, eggs.
