When I see people make this argument matched

I have not really seen anybody account for the number of people to whom it could not apply who are also raising these same concerns. matched

You know, people who are quitting these companies. matched

I mean, that that is that was the big significance of the the the Jacob Coxon quitting Anthropic that kind of kicked off this whole conversation is that he was a guy who left open AI over some of these concerns, who went to Anthropic because Anthropic was supposed to be and bills itself as and is in in some significant. matched

Significant ways, the more AI safety focused of these companies, he's like, I'm gonna go help them build their thing. matched

He gets there, he's like, Whoa, they don't know what's going on either. matched

These concerns have not gone away at all. matched

He quits to you know, blow the whistle on this stuff. matched

He loses his economic exposure to anthropic, his shares do not vest. matched

What else could you ask a person to do to specifically push against that exact argument than what this guy did? matched

And still people make the argument. matched

And that's to say nothing of people who have never had any exposure to any of these companies, who are not, you know, involved in anthropic or open AI or XII at all, who are just outside researchers who are crunching the numbers on this stuff and trying to like figure out the implications for the future of humanity, same as everybody else. matched

Like, I just cannot get my head around seeing that argument, treating it as matched

dispositive to the whole question and like letting it just sort of reassure me so totally that I don't have to pay attention to this issue anymore. matched

And I do think that is kind of the main draw for it. matched

And I I I I I don't mean to say that people are just sort of deluding themselves to give themselves a false sense of security, but matched
