You prioritize them in briefings, you let them, you know, you give them priority access because they're gonna give you the the the best gloss, and because the the sort of big independent hitters just don't have the power that they used to to punish you. matched

But I do think, I mean, depending how this one shakes out, I think there's a chance that Trump ends up feeling stung by this and that future presidents see this particular thing, you know, making martyrs of some of these institutions instead of just letting them sort of slip into further irrelevance in the inside the pool. matched

So Donald Trump has carried himself as a pro-AI president basically since his second inauguration. matched

He's much closer to tech oligarchs of various stripes than he was in his first term. matched

Um he has he's laid out this sort of regulatory framework where where he does not want states um to to be hemming in or fencing in AI in in various different ways. matched

He certainly doesn't want the federal government doing that. matched

This has been a very matched

Secondary or even tertiary political issue for a lot of his term so far. matched

A lot of it has been, you know, this sort of secondary issue of data centers and whether they should be constructed and whether they have the these environmental impacts. matched

And Trump has been very pro data center construction. matched

But but just in the last couple of weeks, as we have sort of turned as a nation, or at least as a commentariat, into this conversation that a lot of these AI people have been having all along about like, wait a minute. matched

What if the robots, what if it's not a bubble? matched

What if in fact they're too good? matched

What if what if they're too smart? matched

What if they're gonna start getting smarter too fast and start being able to do too many things too well and get hard to control? matched

There has been a lot of of new energy around that conversation, especially after you know at least one high-profile, you know, exodus from Anthropic, a safety researcher who quit and sounded the alarm. matched
