This year there is an extreme drought in the US West and it has wiped out the food sources in the wild of bears and that is sending bears into towns and cities in search of food.
And so you have situations where people are literally sitting in their home and a bear will enter heading for the refrigerator because they have an incredible sense of smell.
And can actually smell the food inside the refrigerator from outside the home.
And bears are breaking into people's cars when they come into contact with humans.
They are being run over, and some are having to be euthanized.
The long-term fear is that with the steady iridification of the US West, this drought that's been going on for about three decades now, the
Bears will begin to become habituated with human food and they just can't return to the world because i the winters are so warm that the food sources don't exist.
The legal analysts that I've spoken with say that trying to charge journalists who are there to report on what occurs with those same laws is really just unprecedented.
And they believe that the charges may well be thrown out against Lemon and Georgia Forte.
