The minute the border is closed, nobody talks about the border anymore.
They just always leap in to the next big problem.
Oh, isn't the way people are being deported terrible?
And that's been the trick that they've used, and it's been pretty effective.
But I think at some point, at some point, people are going to stop and take a breath and say,
Are things really worse?
And do I want these people back?
He set up the negative really well tonight.
I don't think any words are going to accomplish the positive message that he wants to put forward.
I think that's going to have to happen over time.
I think he should be hammering away at it.
He should be telling people what he's done, but people are going to have to feel it in their pocketbooks before it's real.
I myself, it was months ago, but I myself was driving along and suddenly noticed that gas prices had plummeted.
I hadn't read anything about it in the paper.
I just suddenly saw it there.
Nobody's been talking about it, and yet gas prices, of course, were one of the big headlines for a long time.
Every problem Trump solves disappears from the headlines.
But eventually, I think, put together, they will seep into the consciousness of America, and you just have to hope they do that in time before the midterms.
And I also just want to add quickly that I'm really glad that the Virginia governor is delivering the response, because that's 25 minutes in which you won't be raising my taxes.
