And there's a whoever's president, you know, dictates my life or taxes or policy or whatever. And I just think a lot of that is bullshit. I think a lot of it is based upon your own decision making and what you want to make of your life.

And, you know, it started with running. So I hadn't ran in years. And about 18 months after that 5K, I ran a full marathon and that was really empowering. And, you know, alcohol was part of the story as well. And to me, it was just more of a habitual. You come home, you drink three or four beers. That's what we do in the Midwest. I live in Milwaukee. So that's kind of the prototypical thing.

About six months after that, I got an opportunity to come back into my dream role with the organization that I grew up in. And I think there's some market validation that happened that, oh, shit, maybe Andrew Metz is good enough to run a 100-person sales organization if this other company thinks. But you learn a lot about yourself when you go and do hard things.
