So those wars were going on until it's still going on.
It is the real thing that I did.
Now, I tried to stay away from the cliches of that Anglo in Tuscany that we are very aware of.
Maybe wine stomping would be one.
But I realized maybe people didn't know exactly how an olive harvest happened, how you rake them.
You don't pick them like berries.
You rake them onto nets, and it takes days and days.
And you have to have an appointment at the Frantoia, at the Olive Press, and it goes in a certain way.
And I found all of that so wonderful and frustrating at the same time that I had to put it down.
I mean, we're all used to having like, what are we going to have tonight?
You know, Italian or Chinese or like that does not happen there.
You know, it is artichokes tonight.
It is artichoke season and everyone's happy.
And that feels insane to someone who's used to eating different things.
But then there's something really lovely because once artichoke season is over,
So you seize that moment, and then the next moment will be radicchio, it turns out.
