I was an unhappy lawyer for five months and then a failed entrepreneur and then a nightclub promoter and then a less failed entrepreneur.

Yes, it did.

I ran an education company that grew to become number one in the US and was bought by a public company in 2009.

I was 34 at that time.

But in my late 20s, I ran a promotion company called Ignition NYC, where we convened hundreds of 20-something-year-olds to drink their sorrows away.

This was back when young people both drank and partied.

Yeah.

And, you know, may that still happen.
