So as we we start today, I want to start with the meta lawsuit. podcast-host

We just heard from the Arizona Attorney General. podcast-host

This is a huge monetary settlement, but it's also it to me an admission, though I know the documents say it's not, that social media is harmful to kids. podcast-host

I do believe that there are some positive uses of of social media and it's certainly become part of our world. podcast-host

But this is finally, and I want to give Meta a little credit because they're the first ones to step up and say, we are going to take some action uh to cut off social media at night for certain age groups. podcast-host

Uh, we're gonna limit the amount of time that you can uh watch it and podcast-host

We're going to provide a significant amount of money, though they make a lot of of money, to address some of these harms. podcast-host

And I think that's just pushing the AGs to do something they're already doing, which is to make sure that that if other companies are using a potentially addictive algorithm, uh, that they step in and take similar action. podcast-host

And I think Meta is almost challenging uh its competitors, saying, if we can do this, if we can place limitations, so can you. podcast-host

And so today we are going back to tariffs because there's been a study about which states have been hit the hardest. podcast-host

And the latest number out is tariffs have cost Kentucky households around $3,470 extra. podcast-host
