Uh they're thinking about their job and whether they make enough to support their family, uh their next doctor's appointment, uh the roads and bridges they drive, the school they drop their kids off at, whether they feel safe in their community.

These are great jobs for our people, uh local officials, many of them different parties.

Because what we care about are are the lives of our citizens.

And it shouldn't be expensive.

The story most people don't know behind insulin is the people who invented it sold the patent for one dollar.
podcast-host
would have had one of the most valuable patents in history, but they wanted this to be their gift to the world, knowing that if someone has to ration insulin, it causes uh real harm, irreversible harm uh to their body.

Yet prices of insulin are still uh so high.

So what we wanted to make sure is that we could cap the cost of insulin for those that need it uh the most, that no one should have to decide.

Between rationing their insulin, having enough to eat, being able to pay the rent or the mortgage, and and that's only gotten uh more important as as the current president has made life so much harder.

Because even if your insulin price has stayed the same and it hasn't, it's gone up.
