And they would read out my old articles.

I couldn't bear the humiliation.

Home means safety in that you know where you are, you know who you're with, you just feel supported and secure.

So I always had that feeling coming home in term time from Cambridge.

Home just meant you're back in your comfort zone.

And you don't have to worry about being somebody you're not.

You can just be yourself again.

And it's been a bit of a theme of my life, really.
