The seasons are endless, it seems.
I actually think there's a bigger impact currently on fans' fatigue, tracking new tournaments, tracking complexities within tournaments.
And obviously there's a huge amount of sport going on now at the moment in Ireland between the All-Irelands.
Championships, Wimbledon, the golf, and then the rugby.
So there's a huge amount of crossover.
So I think there's more of an element of fan fatigue.
I think a lot of the top professionals, certainly within Ireland, the top professionals in rugby are being periodically managed throughout seasons.
They're a total...
Game count has been managed, their total energy expenditure has been well managed.
So overall I think the issue is probably a bit of fan fatigue with information overload and that's normal in all walks of life at the moment.
I don't know, did you notice the warm-up?
I was staggered by it.
Bordeaux came off the field six, seven minutes before them.
Leinster are hammering tackle bags in 28 degrees of heat.
That's not a systems issue.
That's not a coaching issue.
I'm convinced that they are wedded to this slavish approach because it's very hard to justify what you do in a week if you're telling people to do less.
if I hear another player talk about, look, they rate somebody because of their detail.
There's no detail in doing less.
And honestly, there's a hardwired culture that had brought them success that is now an Achilles heel, right?
