And Michael Carrick overachieved to his great credit and got us into the Champions League.

And this year, Manchester United, I think, need Champions League football for financial reasons more than anything else.

Because if Manchester United are gonna get back to a level where they are outbidding Manchester City for Elliott Anderson, you need to have the financial muscle to do that.

So United came up short.

They didn't want to spend the whole budget.

We can argue rightly or wrongly on that.

But if United are in the Champions League with the riches that it brings, and there's been loads of articles about it on the athletic in the last week, with hard numbers, serious, serious amounts of money.

And if you're not, it's snakes and ladders.

You're falling back to the bottom again.

And it's depressing because this keeps on happening.

Under the ownership model that Manchester United have got with the Glazers, where money is being paid in interest because the debts are clubbing, it makes it even ev makes it even more difficult.

You've got to be getting in the Champions League.

And if you look at the league table now, it's still dead early.

Two wins and you just zoom right back up.

And and I'm not knee jerking, I'm not saying a that that that there should be any changes of personnel.

I think that Michael Carrick will hopefully come good.

I was outside, I was there, I did speak to people as well.

I think um in addition to what Laurie said, um trust levels between fans and the club are really low.

And there are a number of reasons for that, and it's pretty sad that it's come to this situation.
