I suppose from a personal perspective it made me appreciate quite how dull some of what my son's got to do.
And so maybe I was I was a little bit better as a father in going, Yeah, I know it's dull.
I've I've just had to do some of it.
So yeah, you you're slightly more remembering of quite how tedious some of that schoolwork is.
And are we gonna get in a few years' time, maybe uh eighteen to twenty one, some of David Doherty's best economic bits and also some of his worst fuck ups.
And do you get a little trophy, age twenty one?

They're quite on it.
You know, it's a state school that he goes to, but they uh they did mock mocks, which was it's completely new on me.
So we did mock exams in the February or March or whatever for the GCSEs uh in the summer.
And and the theory now is that that's you've only got a couple of months to realise that actually you've done fuck all and you need to do more.
And so they now do these ones in the year before, knowing that they haven't done necessarily too much
the end of year ten, but they'll now realise that they've actually got pulled their themselves together at the start of year eleven rather than when there's only a couple of months to go.
So yeah, mop mocks.
People training their two year olds, you know, trying to get into university age six.
That's why your son doesn't want to get out of bed.
It's lunchtime, yeah.
So yeah, well I could obviously get my son to make his own lunch.
It tends to be slightly healthier if I make it.
So I've probably made a a rap for both of us.
