Exactly.
The way he wanted us to play was quite unique.
Even defensively, always jumping to the full-back.
It was very much press forward, press forward.
Obviously, I was coming from Hull, who in the Premier League, more often than not, we were in low blocks.
That was just because we were the lesser team.
We were coming to Anfield and trying to stay together.
Yeah.
Then all of a sudden I was the team that had the 70-80% possession and that's a change of mindset, do you know what I mean?
And it was just trying to then, like you said, make better decisions on the ball, make better decisions off the ball and I just had to be patient really and I think it was about the November time I got my chance and at that point I felt I was belonging there and I felt I was ready to go and give it my best shot.
And thankfully, I didn't really look back from that moment.
Well, I think because at the start, we both felt the same.
I think the season I signed, that was the season where Trent had just been, you know, officially promoted to the first team in terms of in the changing room and things like that.
So I think...
we were both trying to find our place in the changing room and at the same time, do you know what I mean?
I think we grew closer due to that, similar positions, similar ambitions as well to try and get into the first team and things like that and I just think then, probably round about the same time, we really then kicked on together and I just think we both looked at each other thinking, I can take a little bit from him, he can take a little bit from me and then,
both with our competitive nature.
We just started competing on everything.
We would compete at sprints and training.
We would compete on anything that we could, table tennis and the training ground.
