Because that was always the aim for me, to try and get as quickly as I could to the first-team football.

So I just went there.

And to be honest, my first season at Queen's Park wasn't much better.

In that year, that was when I'd done all my growing.

I'd done a lot of growing, I'd done a lot of maturing.

Speak for yourself.

But the size was a problem because in Scotland, I don't know if it's still the same, but when you were at under-15s, you then went straight to under-17s.

So you're then all of a sudden playing two-year gap.

Two years above.

Which at that time I probably wasn't ready to do.

Do you know what I mean?

So that's why then when you go into the lower leagues, they have an under-16s as well as it.

So it's not, it's just a one-year gap.

Yes.

So that's why Queen's Park was probably perfect as well.

But the first season wasn't great.

And then the second season...

Then that's when I really started kicking on and, you know, probably took over certain people that were above me and then that next season I was in the first team.

That was the same time, yeah, because at Queen's Park I was on, what was I on?

I was on 18 quid a week.
