The fact are so many young children, like you mentioned, Grant, the fact you've got Paul who's outside of the school perimeter and so many people, like you say, Shane, now over 140 pieces of testimony.

for an event you can't look past that quantity it's very very important so i want to bring up one other thing though that i find really important is the time this happens 1966 um is the cold war era now australia was deeply tied to western defense structures i had to look up some of this it was it was drawn into the vietnam conflict at the time as well it was very much backing the us as an ally and i wonder how much did that

The Westall Witnesses: Australia’s Schoolyard UFO Mystery

heightened state of military alertness around the world potentially play into the response of the military the air force on you know ununiformed figures turning up afterwards shane that's right i mean context of course is everything and as you say it was a cold war time and

and I wonder given that the evidence tampering that's clearly gone on given that huge response given the strangely prompt response and given that the mass sighting if you take away the UFO aspect the flying saucer aspect

is there any explanation that you can look at and go, if it's not A, which is UFOs being covered up, is there anything you do look at, Shane, and go, well, it could be this, in terms of, you know, an explanation?

grant same question for yourself you know again with the research you have done you've not got 21 years of research behind you but you do have a different lens you do have a modern take and lens on this and a more recent bias probably from that kind of covid time and diving into ufos like so many people did is there any explanation you can come to here or is it fair like many folks look at and go something non-human

The Westall Witnesses: Australia’s Schoolyard UFO Mystery

at least a non-human technology was involved on that day, 1966, kids and others saw it.

And one final question for you each before we begin to wrap up I'll stay with you Grant then and come to Shane what could move this case forward still 60 years on would it be a new witness would it be a report archival access what for you Grant and then Shane would move this case forward on again?

More about yourself, Shane.

You know I think it's a really interesting time for the UFO topic there are so many

eggs in so many baskets right now and going back five years ago things seemed much simpler when it was Louis Elizondo had come forward and he was doing all the talking and there wasn't there was other stuff going on but there was a spearhead to the conversation and since then it's become so fractured and there are probably positives and negatives to that Grant you'll have seen that journey along the way and starting your show as well Shane and your research

I think the last big event for me that really brought the topic together worldwide was David Grush coming forward.

I truly feel if you go back and look at timestamps in this from Roswell Incident, Project Blue Book through to Betty and Barney Hill, the Phoenix Lights, key milestones.

I truly think from 2017 to now, there's been two, and it was the New York Times article and David Grush coming forward.

And that's not to disparage the work and the efforts and what's happened from others in between, but things that really, really traveled worldwide and made an impact were those.

I'm hopeful events like Westall and others will be highlighted when Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day comes out.

I am not one that subscribes to the fact this movie has real aliens or real alien voices or real alien footage that's utter nonsense but I think a multi-million dollar movie that will make a billion dollars at the box office that's getting the promotion that it is that seems to introduce the idea of to a wider mainstream public hybrids

crash retrievals, you know controlling remote viewing all of this seems to be a kind of part of it even screen memories potentially just dissecting some of the trailers is going to bring a new light and I hope the Australian public go and see that movie and it sparks an interest or it reignites an interest and perhaps

Some folks take their grandkids along to that movie who worked for the military decades ago and something in them goes, do you know what?
