I just am a voracious reader and taken in of... I can watch a game of football as a coach, I can watch it as a fan, but if there's a game on, I'll watch it.

I'm just obsessed with the game.

And you're always picking up stuff.

I went and watched Como play...

Milan a couple of weeks ago, and Cesc is doing a great job there and doing things a little bit differently.

You go, oh, I haven't seen that before, you know.

So there's always that element, but you have to put that into a practical sense as well, you know, because ultimately I'm not the one doing it.

It's the players.

it doesn't matter what my ideas are, I've got to make sure the players can do it and I've got to give them the platform and the information for them to be able to execute what I want.

So, you know, once you get the idea, you go back a step, OK, how can we construct this through training, through whatever other sort of... And, you know, the tools you have these days, you've got so much ability to give information to players visually or training.

So a lot of it's just the obsession with the game.

I've always been curious about what's next and what you can do, but always never leaving that thread or that lane of this is the football I want to play.

It's a cop-out in the sense that I think if you believe in something,

if you're a vegetarian, you're not popping into Macca's because you're hungry, mate.

If you believe in something, you work with the players you have, and maybe they can't do it, but you're still working with them to get to that point, is my point.

I don't get it when managers say, well, you know what, I really want to play a position, and every time I watch them manage, well, you don't.

But own it.

That's okay.

There's no right or wrong way.
