Come to find out, the middle of the year, because DeJuan DeJuan was up to be rookie of the year. The whole half of the season. I wasn't. Okay. So Mika Holtzclaw got hurt. I finally got my chance to come in and play. My first game I got to play 30 minutes, I had like 40 points. And from then on, I wound up winning the rookie of the year from playing half the season.

So you just had to stay ready for your moment. I was ready for the moment. I was pissed, but I stayed ready. And that's the key to the kids. You stay ready for your moment. It doesn't matter what you're going through.

And Taj was one who really encouraged me during my career. So those kind of vets. So I always said to myself, as much as I went through in the WBA, I got to be that kind of vet to these kids.
