Tomatoes and every other greenhouse crop have been all over the news recently as growers have phased out of control fertilizer and gas prices as a result of the current madness in the Middle East.

But before we put those worries to the farming minister, we talked to someone who had analysed for us at the Food Programme where most of the fruit and veg we currently eat comes from.
I'm Jess Fredenberg.
I'm a senior food and climate analyst at the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit, which is an NGO based in London.
So I had a look at the top five most eaten fruit and veg for you.

So in descending order, tomatoes, let's call tomatoes a vegetable for the sake of this argument, onions and leeks, lettuces and salads, carrots, courgettes and aubergines.
Tomatoes alone account for around 13% of our veg consumption in the UK.
So it's hugely important nutritionally.
but around 80% of tomatoes are actually imported.
And just three countries, Italy, Morocco, and Spain account for more than half of our tomato imports.
