It's so much better when friends care about you in response and you don't have to trap them into doing it.

Unfortunately, what sucks about it is growing up is you do, like your brain is so much smaller when you have only a couple friends.

You're like, oh, I can only feel this way with this person.

And the more older you get, the more you're like, oh.

And then when friendships feel easier, it just takes them feeling harder for you to recognize, oh, that was so easy to talk to you and just be like, hey, you know what I mean?

or like just like growing up it's like who's in your class at school those are your friend options and you don't really have the like and then as an adult you go whoa I can kind of curve my time I can decide who I want to be with and who I don't isn't that crazy when you give yourself that permission I know but growing up you're like well we're in math class together yeah well good on OP for just yeah indeed
