Yeah, yeah.

So, I mean, I had kissed a few boys at the Gaeltec and at parties, but I never had a, like, thing.

Yeah, yeah, we were together for years.

On, off, on, off, on, off.

It was quite like, it was kind of first love...

intoxicating and toxic and all of the things.

I mean, it was available.

And I remember my mum having the conversation about,

Yeah.

Yeah, she was actually, there was a lot of openness, actually, in our family.

And sometimes I would do that.

I'd be like, let's talk about periods, guys, long before I had mine, because it was safe to talk about it when it wasn't relevant to me.

And so I often liked to kind of push people to their edge of comfort.

But she, yeah, I think she was aware.

I mean, terrified.

that any of us would get pregnant don't come home with a bun in the oven you know this was the kind of like general like her job as a mother she would have felt like she had failed had she not prepared us for that like I was on the pill which sent me absolutely doolally oh side effect like I was like a lunatic

So I stopped taking it.

I think it is a thing, but it's just accepted as a given for women because what is the other option?

Well, there is another option, but you know, most of the side effects of contraceptive are held by the woman, whether it's a coil, whether it's discomfort, whatever it is.

So I think the general consensus was, well, you can be batshit crazy or you can get pregnant.
