Police say a 49-year-old man drove into the front of a Safeway Saturday afternoon, plowing into pedestrians.
This happened in the mountain town of Truckee, about 30 miles from Reno.
Four people, including some children, were hurt.
Police say their injuries are non-life-threatening.
A man who heard the crash says a boys' baseball team was raising money at a table in front of the store.
He also says pedestrians and shoppers screamed at the driver and tried to open the vehicle, but its doors were locked.
Adding the driver was calmly sitting in there until police arrived and detained him minutes later.
