I'm a resident of Margate.

I live in Fairway Estates, which is literally right next to where the first hole on the golf course.

What I want to say is I'm not against them redeveloping the golf course.

For eight years, the golf course has been empty.

It's an eyesore.

The grass can be this high sometimes.

The city doesn't do anything, let alone does the city want to protect the residents of Margate.

Here's next to the lake over by the dog park, and it's missing a life preserver for months now.

So what we're worried about is the environmental that's going on on the golf course.

I read that report.

It says that six feet deep into the ground that there's arsenic and other contaminants.

So they're going to have to dig six feet into the ground.

Then we're going to have poof.

dust going into the air with arsenic.

And children live all around the whole area, older people, families, children, pets.

All that's going to go into the air.
