The reason for it is, is they would go out, and many of them, I think, in fact, most of them did die, but many of them were badly wounded.
They would come back, get patched, and they would go back out again and then die.
And so you end up with this process.

But it was the genesis of us learning, essentially from the North Vietnamese, how to do this guerrilla fighting.
Because we had to learn to be gorillas because the gorillas were beating our mass bombing and our Asian orange and all this horrific stuff that we were inflicting.
