Think of the great Russian painter, Kazimir Malevich, who painted a black square in 1915.
His proposition, also related to Hinduism in a sense, because he was a theosophist, was that the black square was a four-dimensional object.
So it's an object that, if you like, went beyond the three dimensions we know into some other metaphysical dimension somewhere else.
Now let me come back to the fold.
My proposition is, alongside Malevich, that what this material does or can do is to take the object somewhere else.
Let's call it the fourth dimension because that's a good way of putting it.
That's why I say it's fiction and reality.
Yes, it is.
And no, it isn't.
But those parallel things always live with the poetic object.
That, I think, is the point.
