And then, of course, the wind came along just at the right moment and blew it across the canvas the most beautiful way.
So at one level, it's a great site.
It's a work that I stand by as a work.
And it's a form of proper protest.
It's interesting that Shell didn't dare sue Greenpeace.
They threatened to, but then they didn't.
What drives you on creatively?
I don't know how to answer that question, except that I feel I have a huge amount to do.
That there is a sense that this exploration I've begun of the void object has a parallel with other interior, inner spaces.
In this exhibition at the Hayward, there are much more visceral, bloody inner objects, if you like.
And I feel there's a whole lot to do there.
Quite what it is, I don't know, but we'll see.
