Very tough, very tough subject matter.
It's about the death of her two sons.
And it is the most beautiful, true, honest book about what it means to love someone and to accept their choices.

Yes, in fact, you have to read a long way to understand
discover why there's a horse on the cover.
But I like to think it keeps the reader engaged.
What's with the horse, they keep saying to themselves.
It is a beautiful painting, and it was done by my friend Noah Satterstrom here in Nashville, who did the cover for The Dutch House.
He's amazing.
And I own both of those paintings.
They are hanging in my house.
But he's a really, really good friend.
And I called him up and I was like, hey, I need a horse that's looking straight ahead at the viewer.
