I grew up in a world in which people didn't carry phones and we all turned out fine.

I I don't want to be more available and accessible.

I would like to be less available.

And I I look around and everyone is staring at their hand and it doesn't look good.

Right.

I I just don't ever look out and think, wow, sign me up for some of that.

Here's the thing, it's primary and secondary sources.

If you look at the world at a distance, the world of people that you don't know and can't see, the world is a burning boiling morass.

If you look at the world up close, the world that you're in every single day, I see people being so kind in the grocery store, in the bookstore, when I'm walking the dog in the airport.

I am in an airplane almost every day right now.

And every day I see people helping each other with their luggage and waiting for the person to come out of the seat in the order that they came.

You know, do you drop something?

Can I help you?

I'm amazed.

I'm amazed and moved by how kind people are.
