Not a lot.
How are you?
So essentially, my mother-in-law has always gone above and beyond at Christmas.
And we now have three kids.
And this has been an ongoing issue over the last several years.
And we've tried talking to her about it.
And she just gets a little hostile.
But it's to the point that her budget is the same as ours.
But she gets smaller things.
So we'll get a... I don't know.
We can usually get...
five to seven things per kid.
And we go over there and it's like, last year she had a whole bunch of stuff in stockings, like 10 to 15 presents a kid.
And then another bag of clothes.
Like, it's just so over the top that we feel like we're competing with her for our own kids.
They are six, four and one and a half.
So our six-year-old is getting to the age where he could make comments and notice.
I didn't grow up with that big of a Christmas, but I still woke up on Christmas morning excited for my parents' Christmas.
And my husband's on the same page.
We both feel like we're missing out on giving our own kids the magic of Christmas.
