We had two young children, a place that we could live and work and adopt from.
And there was a very narrow choice, but we ended up settling on Tanzania because it ticked all those boxes for us and because we found a baby home that we knew
this was something we could guarantee was going to be a legitimate option.
And part of that was because no money changed hands.
There was no fees.
There was no opportunity for exploitation because no one was benefiting financially.
And we could see the transparency and the honesty in their program.
So that's really what clinched it for us.
Yeah, I couldn't.
And that was a little concerning to us.
We didn't know if it was impossible or it just had never been done.
Or maybe they were just living a private life and not telling the world.
But yeah, there wasn't a well-blazed trail that we were following.
Did you get legal advice in Australia?
You have to have another purpose.
And so we were moving for work and a family trip anyway.
So, yeah, that's what led us to land in Tanzania.
What work did you and Mark find in Tanzania?
Yeah, so Mark was a maths teacher and I was a school counsellor.
And so we set off looking for opportunities there.
